Bridgehampton School honored local veterans on Nov. 10 with a heartfelt ceremony recognizing their bravery and sacrifice. Principal Michael Cox opened the event by highlighting the importance of Veterans Day and its impact on the nation and community. Elementary Student Government members, led by Miss Hamra Ozsu, reflected on the meaning of the day, reminding attendees that “freedom isn’t free” and encouraging everyone to thank veterans for their service. Students also presented roses to each veteran in attendance as a symbol of respect. Organized by Ozsu and Dave Elliot, the event featured a patriotic performance by The Jazz Loft Big Band from Stony Brook.
