David Little, executive director of the Rural Schools Association of NYS Presents Awards
May’s elementary school assembly and student of the month ceremony was a very special one. David Little, executive director of the Rural Schools Association of New York State, traveled from Albany to personally present awards to the Bridgehampton students and staff for Grand Prize in the Student Life category along with First Prize in the Community Connections category. Mr. Little commended their creativity, civic involvement and dedication to rural education.
Under the guidance of Hamra Ozsu, Bridgehampton’s literacy and ELL specialist, students also earned awards from their submissions, “Thankful Hearts, Helping Hands: A Community Food Drive” and “Our Right to VOTE!” which emphasizes our student’s community involvement through their clubs and organizations.
